To help dispose of the large amounts of cut materials, Sleepy Hollow Fire Protection District will hold four scheduled chipper days in June 2015 (June 13, 14, 20, 21). Crews will visit your address to dispose of larger materials that won't fit in your green waste cans (1"-6" diameter limbs, brush, branches, etc).
This free green-waste disposal is available to residents of Sleepy Hollow Fire Protection District only. If you live outside of the district, please inquire at www.firesafemarin.org for upcoming chipper days at your address.
CHIPPER CREWS WILL DISPOSE OF UP TO 5 CUBIC YARDS OF CUT VEGETATION AT NO COST (APPROXIMATELY 4'X4'X8', STACKED). LARGER QUANTITIES MUST BE PRE-APPROVED. Grass clippings, loose leaves, soft vegetation can't be chipped and must be disposed of in your green waste cans.
Sleepy Hollow is divided into 4 chipper zones. Please visit www.shfpd.org/chipper to locate your home's zone to determine the correct date for chipping.
You must register online at www.shfpd.org/chipper to schedule a visit by crews.
